The new positions will bring the total number of jobs created by the company to 320 in three years.
American-based healthcare company Carelon Global Solutions Ireland has announced that they’re hiring for 100 new jobs in Limerick with positions being created in a number of different sectors.
The company’s Research and Development (R&D) Innovation Centre, situated in Limerick’s National Technology Park, will accommodate the roles.
This expansion signifies a significant step forward for the US healthcare company’s Irish operations.
The hiring process for the new positions has already begun, with the company offering opportunities in product management, data analysis, data science, data engineering, cybersecurity, quality engineering, architecture, and various other fields.
Many of the new positions will be based at the Limerick R&D hub, while others will work remotely.
Limerick’s Mayor, Cllr Gerald Mitchell, expressed his enthusiasm for the job growth, saying: “Carelon are expanding their workforce by 100 just three years after opening their R&D hub in Limerick. This speaks volumes about the nurturing business environment in Limerick and the strength of the talent pool.
“I wish Carelon every success with their expansion, and I commend their commitment to diversity as they seek to achieve gender equality in their Irish workforce by the end of this year.”
Headquartered in the United States, Carelon Global Solutions opened in the Republic of Ireland in 2021 where its workforce has since grown to over 200 employees.
By the end of the year, Carelon will have a total staff count of 320, marking three years since the company’s launch in Limerick.
Chief Executive of Limerick City and County Council, Dr. Pat Daly, emphasised, “This expansion by Carelon Global Solutions is further evidence that Limerick’s business landscape is flourishing. The announcement builds on a very successful 2023 when almost 3,000 new jobs, and a record €1.3 billion of investments were announced for Limerick.
“At Limerick City and County Council, we remain committed to fostering an environment that makes Limerick an attractive place to live, work, and visit, where companies and communities can thrive.”
