Limerick Pride Festival to Take Place from July 7–13, 2025

The educational and celebratory festivities honouring the LGBTQIA+ community in Limerick City will return next summer for their 17th edition. The traditional Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, July 12.

The festival will feature a variety of events, including educational talks, workshops, a queer market, craft activities, and parties.
This year’s theme, “United in This Together,” highlights the fight against discrimination of all sexual and gender identities.
“LGB is nothing without the T,” says Lisa Daly, underlining the Limerick Pride Parade’s commitment to advocating for transgender rights.

A Growing Tradition

Last year marked the 50th anniversary of Ireland’s first Pride event.
Limerick’s first Pride Parade took place in 2001, and the creation of I Love Limerick by Richard Lynch in 2008 helped establish a full-week festival dedicated to love and acceptance—now a yearly tradition in Limerick.

Events are also expanding into the county, with the committee planning celebrations for the wider community outside Limerick City.
Lisa Daly, the festival organizer, has seen a steady increase in participation, both in the parade and throughout the festival.

After the parade on July 12, the festivities will continue at Dolans, where Limerick Pride will take over the venue with drag shows and musical performances.

How to Get Involved

Organizations and groups can join the parade for free, while companies wishing to participate will be required to pay a small fee.
