Cork Beo Editor Joe O’Shea is the fifth speaker in the ‘Media Challenges in a Digital Age’ seminar series

Cork city native Joe O’Shea is the editor of news website CorkBeo and will be speaking at the University of Limerick on Tuesday evening.
O’Shea’s talk on producing local news in a digital age follows instalments from the likes of Limerick Leader Editor Aine Fitzgerald and Live95 Head of News Gillian Devlin.
The CorkBeo editor has worked as a journalist and broadcaster for many years with a number of Irish and international publications including The Irish Times, Irish independent, Al Jazeera International, RTE and the Telegraph specialising in creative content and brand storytelling.
O’Shea is also a best-selling author and winner of the RNLI International Media Supporter Award.
He started out his career in media presenting ‘Seoige and O’Shea’ on RTE One with Grainne Seoige in 2006.
The journalist then left RTE to pursue a career in the industry and became the editor of Cork Beo in 2019.
He lives and works in Cork, London and Dublin and makes regular appearances on Irish radio and television.
