Visitors get a glimpse of student life and academic offerings during the open days event.
The University of Limerick held its open days on October 17 and 18, aimed at young people considering further education at the institution. The event showcased the university’s degree and master’s programmes.
The campus was bustling with activity, featuring student-led tours, live music, and various presentations. Attendees appeared eager to explore what the university has to offer.
Reflecting on his time at the university, the student president shared: “When I look back at my time in UL, I have absolutely incredible memories and made lifelong friends. It’s a place I have a really strong connection to—truly the best years of my life.” He emphasized why prospective students should consider the University of Limerick.
The university currently enrols over 18,200 students and employs 1,965 staff members. It offers 50 undergraduate courses and 200 postgraduate courses.
However, the first day of the open days also saw student protests concerning the ongoing student accommodation crisis.
