Red Devil icons take to the stage in Dolans to discuss all things football
Manchester United icons Andy Cole and Lee Sharpe will be in Limerick early next year it has been announced.
As reported in today’s Limerick Leader the Red Devil legends will take to the stage at Dolan’s Warehouse on March 24 next for for an evening of footy chat.
Cole and Sharpe will talk about the historic treble winning team of 1999, their on-field relationship with Cork man Roy Keane and the most legendary manager in football history, Sir Alex Ferguson.
The event will be hosted by Manchester born Ashley Crowe and it will be Q&A conducted by both host and audience.
Cole spent six years at United, between 1995 and 2001, scoring 93 goals in over 275 appearances.
The striker won five English Premier League’s, two FA Cup’s and the coveted UEFA Champions League in 1999.
He is also known for his spells at Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers as well as brief time with local rivals Manchester City.
Sharpe meanwhile made over 280 appearances for United, hitting 21 goals for the club between 1988 and 1996.
He won three Premier League title’s, two FA Cup’s and on European Cup Winners Cup.
His only other clubs where he made over 30 appearances were Leeds United and Bradford City.
This event will be one of two Munster dates with the second evening taking place in Cork’s Cyprus Avenue. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (December 1st) at 9am on Dolan’s website.
