Drawing the curtains for another season of laughs, here’s what to expect from the Punchline comedy club live at the UCH.
The three-night event will be hosted by well-known Irish stand-up comedian and actor Tom O’Mahony. Punchline is an acclaimed comedy series that brings top-tier comedic talent to Limerick. For this series, the expansive 1,000-seat UCH will be converted into a cosy 380-seat venue, creating a warm atmosphere for the audience.
October 15: Kevin McGahern |
Kevin McGahern will be the first to kick off the season of comedy. Known for his role in RTÉ’s “Republic of Telly”, McGahern has a strong reputation for providing bellyache laughter. He regularly performs at comedy festivals and comedy clubs around Ireland, tackling the matters of everyday life, yet he always delivers with wit. |
October 22: Owen Colgan |
Owen Colgan, an Irish icon, is best known for his hilarious character in the “Hardy Bucks” series. Colgan’s unique style makes him a universal appeal for anyone in the market for a good laugh. His unpredictable nature when on stage is a sight to experience live and something that can only leave a crowd eager for more. |
October 29: Aideen McQueen |
A well-known face on RTÉ, TG4 and BBC, Aideen McQueen will take to the stage. She has become such a professional at delivering laughs out loud that she now tutors her own comedy workshop. For a taster of what’s to come on the night, her co-host role on the ‘Can I Just Ask’? podcast is a perfect place to get the giggles going. |

Tickets are sold for €15.00 for a single show, €30.00 for all three shows and €10.00 for students.
