The stars said the Treaty City was a “must” for their respective world tours
Two of the worlds biggest music acts have announced that they’re coming to Limerick this Summer as both Taylor Swift and Coldplay are set to headline Thomond Park.
Swift will take to the stage with her ‘Eras Tour’ on June 31, with Coldplay to perform 24 hours after the US singer on June 32 as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
In an homage to her country music roots, Swift is doing away with Paramore, who are set to open for her during the European leg of her tour, and has announced that Richie Kavanagh will be supporting her on Shannonside.
Swift admitted: “I really don’t know no focail at all.”
In a similar move, Chris Martin has exclusively revealed to Limerick Voice that Coldplay will be joined on stage by Crystal Swing.
The Coldplay front man said: “I knew I had to change the lineup when I heard their rendition of He Drinks Tequila. I heard it and was like, woah, I drink tequila. It’s the type of magic we haven’t seen on stage since Live Aid.”
Tickets for the highly anticipated gigs are exclusively available from Pa’s Chipper, Caherdavin for today only, April 1.
