OV Dingle has seen performances from Amy Winehouse, Sam Fender, Inhaler, Hozier and many more – with a host of Limerick names added to this year’s lineup.
For 22 years many emerging and big name artists have made their way to the westernmost point of Ireland. This year, multiple artists from Limerick have been added to the lineup of the Dingle Distillery Music Trail at the Other Voices music festival from December 1 to December 3.
Dylan Flynn and the Dead Poets, a Limerick band of up-and-comers, have recently been added to the list of acts set to perform on the Music Trail. Following their stint in Dingle, the five-piece will then headline shows in Galway, Dublin and Limerick.
Anna’s Anchor, which started as a solo project now turned full band, will also be making an appearance on the Music Trail. Having released their fourth album titled The Merries on July 7 and July 24, Anna’s Anchor performed at the Limerick Hurlers Homecoming in Limerick City.
In a post on X, Anna’s Anchor stated: “Bringing the full band to Dingle in less than a month! So excited to play @OtherVoicesLive, this is really a bucket list gig!”
Another Limerick born artist, Elaine Malone, will also perform at the Dingle Distillery Music Trail. Currently based in Cork, she is immersed in the city’s DIY music scene. With influences stemming from ’90s grunge and shoegaze, Elaine Malone will bring her psych-rock essence to Dingle.
Although the tickets to the Dingle Distillery Music Trail are currently sold out, a waiting list is available on Eventbrite here.
OV Dingle will also have performances at the Church of St James and the IMRO Other Room.
The Church of St James’ headliners have recently been announced, and include: experimental trad supergroup ØXN, critically acclaimed New York songwriter Julie Byrne, beloved South African quintet The Joy, cherished songsmith Mick Flannery, Dublin-based noise-rockers Gurriers, and country-pop sensation CMAT.
Tickets to the Church will only be available through a giveaway but if you don’t manage to get your hands on some tickets, the event will also be live streamed.
Keep an eye out as more information is to be released soon!
