Limerick-born social media influencer Niamh De Brún has married her long-time partner on Friday, November 26, 2021.
The Dooradoyle native wed seven-time All Ireland Kilkenny Hurling Star and entrepreneur T.J Reid.
Niamh De Brún works with pharmaceutical company AbbVie and is an influencer and fashion blogger, with over 58,000 followers.
Niamh has gained a large following, many of whom have been fans since the creation of her fashion blog in 2018.
She also holds the title of Miss Kilkenny, which she won in 2018.
The ceremony took place in De Brúns’ native County Limerick at the Holy Trinity Abbey in Adare despite the couple now residing in County Kilkenny.
The wedding comes following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions in the hospitality sector.
Originally the couple was due to wed in 2020 following their March 2019 engagement.
The couple have been documenting the journey of the nuptials since the beginning on their social media accounts (niamhdebrun, tjreid) – from the planning to the delays, all the way up until the big day.
The Big Day
In true blogger fashion, Niamh documented all of the behind-the-scenes moments for her eager followers, sharing glimpses of her wedding cake, flowers, and candid family photos.
Niamh shared snaps of her mouthwatering five-tiered wedding cake, made by Trace of Cakes, decorated beautifully in white roses and topped off with a stencil of the Adare Manor.
Ever the fashionista, De Brún’s wedding dress did not disappoint. She walked down the aisle in an elegant white gown, complete with sheer sleeves and an exposed back.
Meanwhile, new husband Reid looked the part, sporting a black tuxedo.
A Guard of Honour following the ceremony consisted of Reid’s teammates holding up hurling sticks when the couple emerged following the nuptials.
The ceremony was followed by a reception in the 5-star Adare Manor and Golf Resort that same evening.
Among the sports stars in attendance were Henry Shefflin and his wife Deirdre, Richie Hogan, Conor Fogarty and Colin Fennelly.
TJ celebrated his stag-do earlier this month, with a trip to Cheltenham Racecourse, alongside a number of his friends and hurling teammates.
Niamh also celebrated her hen party in style, travelling to Killarney for a Halloween fancy-dress party.
