Seachtain na Gaeilge is an annual international festival celebrating the Irish language and culture. Taking place in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, it encourages people of all ages and abilities to engage with Gaeilge through music, storytelling, workshops, and community events. First established in 1902, it has grown into a global movement, promoting the language in a fun and inclusive way.

Lá Gaeilge sa Parkway do Sheachtain na Gaeilge- Sunday, March 9
Join the vibrant celebration of Seachtain na Gaeilge on Sunday, March 9, from 1–3 pm! Whether you’re a fluent Irish speaker or just have the cúpla focal, this event welcomes all levels of ability in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Expect an exciting lineup of activities, including captivating storytelling for children with the brilliant Paddy O’Brien, live traditional music, interactive STEM and art workshops, and thrilling competitions with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Lá Gaeilge san Iarsmalann Hunt- Saturday, March 8
The Irish Language Day at the Hunt Museum, Limerick will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This adult-focused event, conducted entirely in Irish, will feature three guest speakers discussing topics such as wine, Irish-language filmmaking, and An Spideog.
Following the lectures, attendees will be served refreshments and lunch at 12:30 pm in the Loch Bar, before concluding the day with a guided city walk. The event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the Irish language in a cultural and social setting.
Imeacht Péint agus Prosecco- Saturday, March 8
The Paint and Prosecco event will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Halla Íde, Limerick. This elegant gathering offers attendees the chance to enjoy a relaxed and creative evening, all through the medium of Irish.
Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the event encourages participants to bring friends and share a few words in Irish while enjoying painting and prosecco in a welcoming atmosphere.

The Pilates Event in Irish with ‘Graceful Pilates’ will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Halla Íde, Limerick. Organised in collaboration with Comhluadar Luimnigh, this unique session offers participants the chance to enjoy a relaxing and invigorating Pilates class, all through the medium of Irish.
