The Wolfe Tones set to play Thomond Park on their final farewell four

Legendary Irish band, The Wolfe Tones, are set to bring their iconic songs to Limerick’s Thomond Park for one last performance on their farewell tour 

The Wolfe Tones have announced their final tour will take place next summer, with one gig scheduled for Limerick’s Thomond Park Stadium.  

The group announced this Wednesday, October 23 that their “final farewell tour” will Limerick on July 13, 2025. After performing together for 60 years the band will finally bid their goodbyes to fans in Limerick.  

They have grown their collection since they began in 1963, now with 16 albums. From their early days in Dublin to the stages of well-known venues like Carnegie Hall in New York and the Paris Olympia, The Wolfe Tones have cemented their legacy in Irish music. Iconic tracks like ‘Celtic Symphony’ and ‘Let The People Sing’ will be heard on the tour.

2024 Electric Picnic’s main stage saw the folk band sell out their set, attracting the largest ever recorded crowd. They also sold out three gigs at Dublin’s 3Arena along with the SSE Arena in Belfast. The crowds, both young and old, like the popular band, which can be seen from their recent successes.  

The Wolfe Tones’ previous Irish tour in 2024 saw total sellouts across venues in Ireland, including Virgin Media Park in Cork, Galway Airport, two shows at the INEC in Killarney, two shows in Breakwater Festival in Wexford, The Big Top in Letterkenny, and two shows in TF Royal Hotel & Theatre in Castlebar. 

Tickets, priced from €49.90 to €59.90, will go on sale Monday, 28th October 2024.
