Paul O’Connell’s ‘The Battle’ hits bookshelves nationwide

Paul O’Connell’s much anticipated autobiography “The Battle” goes on sale across the country today.

The Munster giant will be in O’Mahony’s bookstore on O’Connell Street, Limerick from 2pm this Sunday, 9th October, to sign copies and meet with fans.


A spokesperson from O’Mahony’s is expecting a big turnout on the day.

“Paul O’Connell is very popular and we are expecting a huge crowd,” she said.

Staff at O’Mahony’s are glad to have him on board.

“He is a Limerick man and he’s a good customer as well so it’s great to have him in store, he’s so popular and so well liked,” she added.

According to the store’s website, “The Battle is a book for everyone who wants to understand the roots of achievement and the inner world of an elite sportsman. It will take its place alongside the very finest sports books of recent years.”

The rugby star’s autobiography which was penned by former Limerick Leader editor Alan English will be selling at a reduced price of €19.00.

The Munster, Ireland and Lions legend is also set to appear on this Friday’s Late Late show with Ryan Tubridy to discuss the book.
