TedX talk to promote state of the art facility in Shannon

A TedX talk will be held to promote new state of the art facility in Shannon in early December.

Atlantic Aviation is holding the talk in conjunction with Solas to open their new facility on December 7.

The theme of the event is ‘many paths to success, reimagining education skills’ and will see a number of speakers telling their inspiring stories to the 100 attendees.

The event will promote the new facility which will be 66,000 square feet and equipped with state of the art technology.

Key aims of the new facility are to provide employment, attract students and to play a key role in attracting new Aerospace and Aviation companies to the Shannon and Mid-West region.Employment,

Commenting on the launch, Atlantic Aviation Group CEO Connor Flanagan said the company hopes to draw students to the Mid-West region from across the globe.

“The institute’s vision is to be a global centre of excellence in aviation and aerospace education, training and consulting and we expect to draw students from across the globe to the Mid-West region.

“We also understand the domestic demand for aviation specific education and training having built some very strong relationships and collaborations with aviation companies in the region,” said Mr Flanagan.

Caoimhe O’Donnell, training director at the company says the institute will provide learning initiatives within the aviation industry at different levels of education.

“It will provide innovative learning solutions for domestic and international aviation programs from technical aviation training to undergraduate and post graduate qualifications,” she said.

“It also will offer a range of short executive course to address the continuing professional development needs of professionals within the aviation sector nationally and internationally.” she continued.

While the event is invite only, Atlantic Aviation are running a Facebook competition, where the winner receives two tickets.
