The first ever Ahane National School Fashion Show, produced in association with the Holman Lee Agency, is shaping up to be the fashion and craft event of the year.

The fashion show, recently launched by renowned Limerick-born fashion stylist Celia Holman Lee, will take place next Thursday October 13th at the Castletroy Park Hotel.

Local Limerick stores, designers, and craft-makers will be in attendance, showcasing their new Autumn/Winter collections.

Supported by Limerick City and County Council, the ‘Made in Limerick’ collective will exhibit a variety of handmade crafts, fine art, jewellery, and natural skincare, among other items, which guests will have the chance to shop before the fashion show.

Guests are also invited to a prosecco reception on arrival at 7pm before the show, which begins at 8pm.

Speaking at the launch, Principal of Ahane National School, Siobhán Kennedy said: “There’s a great buzz of excitement in the school for the upcoming fashion show at the Castletroy Park Hotel, and we are delighted to have a team of dedicated and hardworking parents who have organised what promises to be a fantastic night on Thursday, 13th October.”

Parents, staff and pupils of Ahane National School will also have the chance to take to the catwalk alongside the models from the Holman Lee Agency.

Ahane National School was successful in its funding application to the Department of Education and Skills earlier this year for the upgrade of its yard, which will be enhanced with the addition of new playground facilities.

Plans for further development of the school grounds are in place, with Ms Kennedy adding that the fundraising “will go a long way” in helping the school to fulfil them.

“We know it will be a super night that is open to all to attend and we’re very excited about it,” said Ahane National School Fashion Show Committee member Laura Ryan.

“We’d like to thank the Holman Lee Agency, Castletroy Park Hotel, the Council and all of the stores and stall owners who are taking part, and particularly those businesses in our local communities of Ahane, Castleconnell, Castletroy, Annacotty, Murroe and Newport who have been so generous with raffle prizes and sponsorship.

Tickets can be purchased for €20 per person via Eventbrite, or the Ahane National School telephone on (061) 335 101.

Ahane National School, located at Laught, Lisnagry, Co Limerick, is currently open for enrolments for September 2023.
