A Limerick community is in mourning following the tragic death of a 13 year old girl.

The body of Cali O’Leary from Athlacca in Co Limerick, was found in the Morning Star river, in Bruff Co Limerick, on Tuesday evening by the Killaloe Coast Guard.
A search operation was launched at around 8.40pm that evening after the young girl was reported missing.
However, the search was called off a number of hours later when the teenager’s body was located in the river.
She was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Limerick where she later passed away.
Cali O’Leary is survived by her parents Anthony and Lynne (Kelleher), sister Kate, brother Luke and other family and friends.
She will repose at the family home on Thursday from 5pm-7pm. The family has asked that the house remain private outside of reposing times.
The funeral will arrive on Friday afternoon (February 3) at St. John the Baptist Church, Athlacca for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in the New Cemetery, Athlacca.
