Good news for commuters from Shannon

The Bus Éireann route from Limerick Bus Station to Shannon Airport now operates on a 24/7 basis 346 days a year, with services every 20 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes at off-peak times.

This is a huge improvement from the original route which ran once an hour.  The improved service has been in operation since August.

The 343 enhances connectivity between Shannon Airport, Shannon Industrial Estates and Colbert Station. Between Shannon Airport and Limerick Bus stop, it has 29 stops, making it very accessible for a huge number of commuters.
All of these services have fully accessible buses with low-floor access.

Brian Leddin calls the change a “massive improvement”

Green Party TD for Limerick City, Brian Leddin has commended the service on his X page

Brian has told the Limerick Voice that he is hoping for more improvements for Limerick commuters in the near future – ”This is a huge scaling up of services, and will give workers, holidaymakers, business travellers and many others an option to leave the car at home when working in Shannon or travelling from the airport. Having a good public transport connection between the airport and the city also increases the region’s attractiveness for further investment.”
