It is reported that a number of business premises were broken into in the early hours of Wednesday September 28 and Friday September 30, 2016. These two separate incidents are believed to have been carried out by the same criminal gang.

An attempt was made to break in through the roof but the gang was disturbed and fled the scene.

The final incident also took place on Friday September 30 in the Castletroy area. Monaleen Stores had their power supply disabled so the gang could force their way in, stealing a large quantity of cigarettes.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information on these burglaries, especially on the whereabouts and movements of the black Audi A5 car to come forward.
