The National Lottery has confirmed that the seventh Lotto jackpot winner of 2024 is from Limerick.
The Wednesday Lotto jackpot of a whopping €5.5 million, was sold by Mulcairs Mace in Kildimo. The lucky winner has contacted the National Lottery, and arrangements are being made for them to claim their prize.
This is the second time a winning lotto ticket has been sold in Limerick this year. A Lotto syndicate claimed nearly €9 million back in April after they purchased their ticket in Garryowen Stores.
Not only does the jackpot winner benefit from the win, but the Limerick store will also receive a boost of €15,000 for selling the winning ticket.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane said: “What an incredible night for Limerick players… We now have a Limerick player who’s €5.5 million richer, claiming the title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire so far this year.”
