Limerick Voice returns with a captivating launch video displaying our commitment to representing the people of Limerick.
After six long months, we are thrilled to announce our return, and to introduce our loyal audience to the team of Limerick Voice 2023/24! This year, the award-winning publication is comprised of over 30 reporters from the BA and MA journalism courses at the University of Limerick.
For the next academic year, we will be bringing you the latest stories in news, sport, music, arts, culture and business. The dynamic Limerick Voice team will be available on all reputable platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and of course, the Limerick Voice website.
We are also delighted to release the launch video, showcasing the senior members of our team. Inspired by our mission statement stories that speak, it was filmed in the heart of Limerick city, to show our readers that we’re out on the ground in full force. As always, the Limerick Voice aims to promote homegrown talent, with music from Treaty City artists Dylan Flynn and the Dead Poets featured in the video.
Speaking about the launch, Features Editor Joe Costigan said: “I’m so excited to be commissioning features this year for the Limerick Voice. Limerick is full of diverse and interesting communities and I’m looking forward to getting the chance to tell their stories while highlighting the cultural significance of the county.”
Also featured in the video are Editor-in-Chief Joe Drennan, Managing Editor Molly Cantwell, Sports Editor Corey O’Brien, Podcast Editor Lauren Beirne, Business Correspondent Oisín White, and reporters Síofra Grant and Gemma Good.
Breaking News editor Nicola Flynn said she is “ready to lead the news division for this year’s edition of Limerick Voice. Preparing for the launch has been so much fun, we have an amazing team of editors and reporters this time around, and I have no doubt that the paper will be brilliant!”
