University of Limerick’s student-produced digital publication returns for its seventh year
Welcome back to Limerick Voice, University of Limerick’s award-winning, student-produced news website, which returns this week for its seventh year.
From now until summer 2023, the brand-new Limerick Voice team will strive to showcase the very best of Limerick City and County to those both close to home and around the world.
Now that we are well and truly clear of pandemic gloom, our 34 avid reporters are ready to be set loose, covering and dissecting the stories that shape Limerick and delivering these tales on a platform to suit every taste.
The Limerick Voice newsroom boasts a particularly strong sports desk this year. Our host of experienced writers are versed in fields including GAA, basketball, soccer, golf and rugby, and will provide well-balanced men’s and women’s coverage.
As well as providing a trustworthy and high-quality online news platform, this year’s Limerick Voice will offer an expansive podcast scene – offering listeners the very best not just in news and sports, but in an abundance of other excitable areas too.
The Voice continues to expand and enrich its social media offering, so be sure to follow our interactive channels to keep up to date on all things Treaty.
As has become tradition, this year’s crew of budding journalists have chosen a mission statement that best depicts their objective for the project.
In the year ahead, Limerick Voice will be ‘The Talk of the Treaty’ – we are confident that our team can breathe a youthful energy and alternate style into local journalism.
To our existing readers; thank you for embarking on this next chapter with us. To those who are new around here; we promise to be the Voice that loudly celebrates the cultural, artistic, sporting and social offerings of an ascendant Limerick.
