The ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Centra in Northtown Shopping Centre on the Ennis Road.

Fortune struck for a lotto player in the Treaty County last Saturday as their numbers were drawn in the Euromillions: first 8, then 24, 29, 37, 41, surely not, but yes – 42, and then the bonus number; 22. The dream for so many. The lucky unknown won an incredible €334,197 just in time for Christmas and may not even know it yet.

The ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Centra in Northtown Shopping Centre on the Ennis Road. Shop owner, Ger Rodahan, woke up to the news on Sunday morning that the winning ticket had been sold in his shop – the largest winning ticket he had ever sold, at that.

“What a call to get from the National Lottery! There will be great excitement both in the shop and around the town as soon as word gets out that we sold a ticket worth more than €330,000.

“This is the biggest prize we have ever sold so here’s hoping this continues and we might have even more big wins soon!” he said.

Mr Rodahan said that it was “wonderful news for the community” and the winner who is yet to cash in their ticket. “For all we know, the winner might not even realise that they have won yet so hopefully they check their ticket soon.”

The winner has been asked to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for the winner to collect their prize in Lotto HQ. For now, they are being advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
