Gardaí are investigating after a man was injured following a suspected arson attack in Limerick city last night, September 22.
The suspected petrol bombing happened shortly before 10 pm in a house on Pike Avenue, Garryowen.
A man in his 30s was in the house at the time of the attack. He was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí as well as members of the Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue team attended the scene.
The fire caused extensive damage to the house.
It is not yet known if any arrests have been made as investigations are currently ongoing.
