Speed safety camera on N69 in Limerick to go live on March 14

A new speed safety camera on the N69 in Askeaton will begin enforcing the 100 km/h limit from midday on March 14

A static speed safety camera located on the N69 at Ballyhomin, Askeaton, Co. Limerick, will become operational on Friday, March 14, 2025.

From noon on March 14, any vehicle recorded exceeding the 100 km/h speed limit will be subject to prosecution.

Gardaí emphasize that safety cameras play a crucial role in saving lives.

Speeding offences will be processed through the Fixed Charge Notice system, which currently imposes a €160 fine and 3 penalty points. More information on this system is available on the Garda website.
