UHL the most overcrowded hospital in the country


University Hospital Limerick is today the most overcrowded hospital in the country once again.

According to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 45 patients are waiting on trolleys across the Emergency Department and wards.

University Hospital Galway is the second most overcrowded hospital with 31 patients on trollies while 29 are awaiting beds at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.

This brings the total number of patients on trollies to 423 across the country today.
