Two uncapped players are set to make their international debuts off the bench
Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell has named his match day squad for Friday night’s sold-out Autumn Nations Series clash against Argentina at Aviva Stadium (8.10 pm KO).
The one change to the starting lineup sees Robbie Henshaw reunite with Leinster teammate Garry Ringrose ahead of Bundee Aki, who misses out on the matchday squad.
Farrell has also included two uncapped players in his squad, Leinster pair Thomas Clarkson and Sam Prendergast are named on the bench.
Hugo Keenan, James Lowe and Mack Hansen make up an unchanged back three. Henshaw and Ringrose are at centre while Jamison Gibson-Park and Jack Crowley return as the half-back pairing.
In the forwards, Andrew Porter, Rónan Kelleher and Finlay Bealham are an unchanged front row, with Joe McCarthy and James Ryan in the second row. Back rowers Tadhg Beirne, Josh van der Flier and captain Caelan Doris complete the side.
Cian Healy is set to win his 133rd Test cap, moving him level with Brian O’Driscoll at the top of Ireland’s all-time appearance list. Joining him as the replacement forwards are Rob Herring, Clarkson, Ryan Baird and Peter O’Mahony.
Uncapped out-half Prendergast is joined by fellow backs Craig Casey and Jamie Osborne, completing the Ireland squad for the visit of The Pumas to Dublin.
Argentina will be full of confidence having thrashed Italy 50-18 in Udinese last week. That being said the Pumas will know a wounded Ireland represent a much stiffer task, with Ireland getting the better of them in their last three meetings.
The match is a sell out but Virgin Media will be covering the game, with their coverage starting at 7.30 pm.
Prediction
Ireland bonus point win.
