Heimir Hallgrímsson announced his 23-man panel to play final two UEFA Nations league games

With Heimir Hallgrímsson’s maiden Nations League campaign drawing to a close, the Iceland native has named his squad for the final round of fixtures. A home game against Finland taking place on November 14 at 7:45pm, followed by a trip to Wembley to play England on November 17 at 5pm.

There is notable returns to the squad, with captain Seamus Coleman fit from a recent leg injury that kept him out of the October international window. He’s joined by Norwich City defender Shane Duffy, who has looked rejuvenated with the Canaries.

Luton Town centre-half Mark McGuiness aims to make his debut in this window after missing out through injury in October.

The youthful duo of Tom Cannon and Andy Moran have also returned, looking to add to their tally of one cap for the senior team. Cannon has been deadly for Stoke City, scoring six times in 10 league games for the potters. His club-mate Moran has also shone in their number 10 role, providing two goals and four assists in all competitions.

Matt Doherty has failed to regain his position in the squad, being left out of the October squad which frustrated the Wolves full-back greatly. Chiedoze Ogbene, Will Smallbone and Robbie Brady – who guaranteed the win against Finland in October with his strike – will be sidelined through injuries.

The squad is as follows:

Caoimhín Kelleher (Liverpool), Mark Travers (AFC Bournemouth), Max O’Leary (Bristol City)

Defenders:

Séamus Coleman (Everton), Dara O’Shea (Ipswich Town), Nathan Collins (Brentford), Shane Duffy (Norwich City), Mark McGuiness (Luton Town), Callum O’Dowda (Cardiff City)
