Limerick athlete Sarah Lavin is set to compete in the World Athletics Indoor Tour Final event in Madrid tomorrow.
Lavin is one of five Irish athletes who will compete in the Spanish capital.
The Lisnagry athlete will have an opportunity to showcase her talents to an Irish audience as World Athletics and TG4 have announced that the station will broadcast the meet from Madrid.
Lavin competes in the 60m hurdles with the two semi-final races set to start at 4pm and 4.08pm.
The Emerald AC hurdler faces a tough semi-final draw with Holland’s Nadine Visser and the USA’s Evonne Britton in her heat. The pair have the quickest personal bests of all the competitors.
However, the Limerick woman ran an impressive 8.18 in the European Indoors in the Czech Republic to achieve the qualifying mark.
Just a fortnight after breaking her personal best in the 60m hurdles, Emerald Athletics Club’s Sarah Lavin continued her fine early season form as she posted a time just 0.03 seconds outside of her PB at the Irish Life Health Elite Micro Meet at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Saturday.
