‘Let’s go Bunting Mental!’ | Darts star Stephen Bunting and more urge Limerick locals to #FillTheField

Treaty United get their Airtricity First Division 2024 season underway this Friday against Cobh Ramblers.

A host of sporting stars and social media presences have taken in part in Treaty United’s #FillTheField campaign ahead of their season opener on Friday evening.

The Limerick side welcome Cobh Ramblers to Markets Field in match week 1, with kick-off taking place at 7:45pm.

It’s the first full season for Treaty since the news of their takeover last October, with Canadian based investment group led by Tricor Pacific Capital Inc. acquiring the club, appointing Ciara McCormack as their new CEO in the process.

Despite being in charge for a relatively short amount of time, it already seems like there’s been a shift in the club with their current social media campaign being evidence of this.

#FillTheField involves popular figures encouraging supporters to attend the side’s opening game this weekend to create the best possible atmosphere and push the players to starting their season on the front foot.

Treaty United’s social media pages have been busy posting the videos they’ve received, which include videos from darts sensation Stephen Bunting, Premier League star Chiedozie Ogbene, Limerick Mayor Gerald Mitchell and many more.

While there’s positive atmosphere around the club at the minute, Treaty will be looking to transfer it onto the pitch ahead of a huge season for the Limerick side.

Tommy Barrett and co. finished sixth last season, missing out on a promotion play-off place for the first time in two seasons in disappointing circumstances.

They’ll be looking to go one better this season at the very minimum and if supporters can #FillTheField, it will give them more than a chance of achieving their goals this season.

Tickets can be bought on TreatyUnitedFC.com, with general admission tickets costing €12 while children under 12 can go for free if accompanied by an adult.

The game will also be live streamed on LOI TV.
