Limerick sports stars Róisín Upton and Ciara Neville will be speaking this evening at the Women in Sport Panel Discussion with Network Ireland Limerick.
Upton, Neville and Louise Galvin will talk about the challenges they have faced in their sporting careers, the visibility of women in sport, getting the right support, following their dreams, keeping perspective despite constant uncertainty and the mentors who helped them along the way.
Presenter and author Meghann Scully will be MC for the event and will facilitate the panel discussion.
Operation Transformation leader Hazel Hartigan, a full-time nurse at St John’s Hospital, will also make a special guest appearance to talk about her journey during the RTE programme which saw her lose two stone.
Sponsored by the Shannon Region Conference & Sports Bureau, the event takes place on Wednesday 24 February at 7.30pm.
It is free for Network Ireland Limerick members and €20 for non-members where proceeds will be donated to Cliona’s Foundation.
Businesswomen throughout the Mid West are welcome to attend the event.
