The Ireland team will take on Scotland in an exhibition match showcasing the two different sports
Limerick hurling brothers Tom and Dan Morrissey have been selected to represent Ireland in their Shinty/Hurling international exhibition against Scotland later this month.
The pair have been a key part of John Kiely’s Limerick team which has won five All-Ireland hurling titles since 2018 along with six Munster championships in a row.
The game takes place on Saturday, October 26 at 3.30pm in Cusack Park in Ennis.
The Ahane men will join 17 more players under the guidance of Kilkenny’s Michael Kavanagh, who is joint manager along with Antrim legend Terence ‘Sambo’ McNaughton.
The fixture sees eleven different counties being represented in the Ireland squad which will show off the top talents from all around Ireland and Scotland in a thrilling showcase of shinty and hurling skills.
The match has been a traditional game played between the two countries since 2003. Ireland were the winners in last year’s affair, winning 5-09 to 1-13.
The game will be shown live on the official TG4 YouTube channel.
