Three out of four of the Limerick teams get major wins this past weekend

Limerick Celtics maintained their 100% record with a third win from three in their opening games, dispatching of the Killarney Cougars at the weekend.
The visitors struggled to get into the game from the start and trailed by 20 points in the opening quarter.
The Celtics began to run away with the game with American signing Joshua Reynolds leading the scoring for the side, notching 26 points.
Limerick Celtics had a comfortable win in the end with the final score coming at 111-52. They now travel down to Kerry to face Scotts Lakers Killarney on Saturday 22nd at 19:30.
Limerick Sport Eagles got an important win on the road away to SETU Waterford Vikings on Saturday night.
After losing their previous game away in Dublin this win for the eagles was crucial. Talisman Manny Payton proved essential once again coming away with 36 points.
Payton is one of the team’s stars so far this season and his scoring efforts will be needed again when they face SETU Carlow away on Sunday 23rd at 13:00.

Limerick Celtics ladies got back to winning ways on Saturday 15th when they pipped Marble City Hawks 77-47 at home.
After a back-and-forth 1st half where the lead changed multiple times, Celtics showed their class from the 3rd quarter onwards.
Adriana Acosta has proved a hugely successfully signing for them and led the scoring for the Limerick side, picking up 19 points in the game.
Celtics now face a huge local derby on Sunday 23rd at 15:00 when they play Limerick Huskies in the UL Arena, this is one game that shouldn’t be missed!
Limerick Sport Huskies have yet to get a win in the Women’s National League this season. In a low-scoring game, SETU Carlow came away with the 60-46 win.
Huskies seem to be struggling to kick start their campaign and now they face their biggest challenge yet when they host Limerick Celtics in an inter-city derby on Sunday.
