Though it looked like Declan Hannon was set to make his first start of the year, the Adare man is now out of the squad

Limerick manager John Kiely has named his team to take on Clare this Sunday in Round Five of the Allianz Hurling League (3.45 pm, TUS Gaelic Grounds).

There are two changes from the team that were due to face Kilkenny last weekend. Goalkeeper Jason Gillane replaces Shane Dowling while Ethan Hurley makes his first start of the season.

Though it looked like Declan Hannon was set to make his first start of the year, the Adare man is now out of the squad. Despite this, Mike Casey, Barry Nash, and Cathal O’Neill will all make their first appearances of the season and are joined by the returning Seamus Flanagan and Shane O’Brien in the full forward line.

John Kiely continues to rotate his goalkeepers as Jason Gillane replaces Shane Dowling. Man of the match last time out, Barry Murphy will continue to get a chance to impress Kiely and is joined by the returning Casey and Nash in the full-back line.

Newcastlewest club man Ethan Hurley makes his first start of the season and plays between Colin Coughlan and Diarmaid Byrnes in the half-back line.

Captain Cian Lynch and Adam English will renew their partnership in midfield once again while David Reidy and Eddie Stokes are back in the half-forward line, joined this time by Cathal O’Neill. The Crecora/Manister man returned from injury in UL’s recent Fitzgibbon Cup win.

A dangerous full forward line sees Aaron Gillane, Seamus Flanagan and Shane O’Brien start. On the bench, star forwards Peter Casey and Tom Morrissey are in line to make their first appearances of the year.

Missing from last time out is Dan Morrissey while Sean Finn, William O’Donoghue, Kyle Hayes and Gearoid Hegarty remain out through injury. Doon’s Darragh O’Donovan status is unknown, having yet to feature this year.
