PREVIEW: Treaty United look to end poor run of form in Donegal

The Limerick side have failed to win in their last eight outings

Treaty United will travel to Finn Park on Friday to face fifth place Finn Harps in the Airtricity First Division, with the midtable clash scheduled for a 7.45pm kick off.

The Limerick outfit had been unbeaten in the league before losing to Friday’s opponents at home in March and have since scraped just one point from an available 15. Tony McNamee’s 79th minute goal for Finn Harps clinched the 1-0 win for his side who now sit fifth in the league table, two places and six points above Treaty.

However, the Donegal team have not scored a goal in their last three games, with a McNamee 12th minute opener in against UCD in a 1-1 draw on April 5th standing as their last goal.

Three consecutive losses to Cobh Ramblers, Athlone Town, and leaders Cork City presents an opportunity for Treaty United to come away with the three points.

Treaty United will be eager to capitalise on the poor home form displayed by the Harps, who have won just three of their nine home games this season. Treaty have not drawn a single away game in the league this season but have scored in six of their last seven away games which resulted in two wins on the trot against UCD and Kerry.

The last, and only, five fixtures between the two sides in the league have resulted in wins to nil, with the Harps coming out on top claiming three out of the five wins.

A win for Finn Harps could see them move up the table, as they have found themselves level on points with Wexford in fourth place and third placed Bray. They are three points off second place UCD who trail Cork City.

The match will be streamed live on the League of Ireland TV (LOITV) website, with match passes costing €5 per viewer.
