“It’s great for the three boys, I’m delighted they’ve received call-ups”
David Tarmey, Steven Healy and Richkov Boevi are the three Treaty United players that have been announced as part of the Irish Colleges and Universities squad for a friendly against the Irish Defence Forces.
The Galway United loanees Healy and Tarmey made 48 appearances between them for the Shannonsiders, with Healy contributing five assists in 33 games and Tarmey netting twice in 15 showings. Richkov Boevi played in 11 fixtures for Treaty last year, starting all of the clubs last six outings, impressing with his performances.
Healy made the most recent squad in December, where he was joined by current United youngster Michael Dike and former Treaty winger Thomas Considine, who has returned to the national squad since his transfer to Bray Wanderers. It is the first selection in the squad for Boevi and Tarmey.
Tommy Barrett, Treaty Senior Men’s Manager spoke on the announcement saying “It’s great for the three boys, I’m delighted that they’ve received call-ups. It’s good for them and their careers and will be a good experience that will help their progression”.
The Treaty United players and their squad-mates will face the Irish Defence Forces on Wednesday, 29th at 1:00pm in John Hyland Park, Baldonnell.
