The weekend is right around the corner, and that means another plethora of exciting gigs to attend. With an eclectic lineup of must-see artists from Ireland and beyond, the Limerick Voice is here to guide you through an epic few days of music in the Treaty City.

Allie Sherlock gets the party underway early with her highly anticipated gig in Dolan’s Warehouse on Thursday at 8pm. The Cork native has risen to fame in recent years, with her powerful covers garnering national attention.

The gig came as a late addition to the artist’s Damage Control Tour following demand from local fans. Thursday’s outing is Sherlock’s first headline show in Limerick after supporting The Script in July in Thomond Park, and it is not one to be missed. Only a few tickets remain for this event, so act fast.

The excitement continues on Friday as The Fynches kick off their Debut Album Tour in Dolan’s Kasbah at 8pm. Following a successful support set for The Coronas in 2023, the Wicklow outfit will look to make their mark on Limerick with an equally passionate performance.

Live Forever will bring their Oasis-inspired magic to Fitzgerald’s Woodland House Hotel at the same time on Friday. And we can’t think of a better place to play. For those who couldn’t grab a ticket to the real deal this summer, Ireland’s premier tribute band are the next best thing.

Saturday is shaping up to be another thrilling night, with Scottish punk-rock legends The Skids taking over Dolan’s Warehouse from 8pm. Since forming in 1977, the iconic group have released countless hit records, such as their top 10 classic “Into the Valley”. A spirited crowd of punk fanatics will be hoping they play them all.

For fans of alternative music, The Drive will wrap up their So Uncertain Tour with a thrilling gig in Dolan’s Kasbah at 8pm on Saturday. The Cork-based band have cemented themselves as one of the hottest upcoming acts since forming in 2018, with sellout shows across the country. This event is a very affordable one at €11.80 and is highly recommended.

The weekend wraps up with a beautiful John Spillane set in Dolan’s Upstairs on Sunday at 8pm. The legendary Cork artist has been a staple of the Irish music scene for over 30 years and returns to Limerick as a part of his nationwide tour. A near sellout crowd will be there to serenade Spillane with his almighty catalogue of trad classics.
