Fans of Sarah J. Maas’s fantasy series gathered at Eason’s in the Crescent Shopping Centre for a breakfast event celebrating the anticipated release.
EASON Crescent Shopping Centre celebrated the long-awaited release of A Court of Splintered Harmony by Sarah J. Maas with an early opening and breakfast event on Tuesday, October 27.
The event offered customers free pastries, juice, and merchandise inspired by the fictional world of Prythian, giving fans an opportunity to celebrate the book’s release.
Store manager Olivia De Loughrey said the event was organised in response to the excitement surrounding the book, with the aim of engaging younger readers and strengthening relationships with customers.
“The main idea was that there was so much excitement around the whole book and people were interested in it, so we said, why not have a bit of fun with it?” she said.
She said events like this were important for Eason, particularly in reaching teenage and young adult readers, while continuing to engage customers throughout the year.
She added that the reaction from customers had been positive, with many surprised to discover that the food and merchandise were free.
Katie McNamara, trainee manager at Eason, said the event was also an opportunity to show appreciation for regular customers and the local reading community.
“We have a very strong community, and we have lots of regular customers, so I think it’s just a fun thing to do for them to also feel appreciated,” she said.
McNamara added that customers had responded positively, with smiles and excitement surrounding the book’s release.
The breakfast event brought fans together at the Crescent Shopping Centre and gave Eason’s an opportunity to connect with its customers through a shared interest in fantasy literature.
‘A Court of Splintered Harmony’ by Sarah J. Maas is available in all Eason stores across Limerick today.
