THE FAMILY of Limerick icon, Celia Holman Lee has issued a statement amid concerns about her health
Published on Instagram, the statement said, “It is with heavy hearts that we share that Celia Holman Lee has experienced a major health setback and is currently receiving medical care.”
The family also indicated that, due to the seriousness of her condition, Celia is expected to be absent from upcoming engagements.
“Her family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult period so that they can focus on her care and recovery,” continued the statement
Celia, a Limerick native, has worked in the fashion industry since she was just 15 years old.
Hailing from Ballynanty, Celia has continued to live close to Limerick with her husband Ger. She began her own modelling agency, The Holman Lee Modelling Agency, back in 1972, when she was only 22 years old.
She now runs the modelling empire alongside daughter-in-law Asta Lee
Holman Lee’s family will share further updates at an appropriate time, and “asks that all media respect their wishes” in the meantime.
