Scarlett Faulkner’s life support is to be turned off following the brutal attack on the R494 at Birdhill last month.
Faulkner was transported to the specialist head trauma unit in CUH and has been receiving treatment since the attack.
Members of her family have been vocal on social media, giving updates on her condition and asking members of the public to pray for her recovery.
Speaking with the Limerick Post, Faulkner’s family have announced they are now preparing for her life support to be switched off.
Following the attack, a 16-year-old girl is before the courts charged with assault causing serious harm and a 40-year old woman is charged with endangerment and violent disorder.
Both women have not yet been identified.
