The latest total number of people registered to vote across Ireland in the upcoming presidential election is 3,612,957, with almost 150,000 registered voters in Limerick.
The figures show a 6.21% increase in the total number of registered voters from the 2018 presidential election and a 13.22% increase compared to the 2011 electorate.
Adjustments at the constituency level are likely, as these figures were submitted to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage by local authorities and may have changed since.
According to the latest figures, there are 75,979 registered voters in Limerick City, with a further 73,352 electors signed up in the Limerick County constituency.
Polling stations will open at 7:00am and close at 10:00pm on Friday, 24 October.
The count will commence at 9am on Saturday, 25 October.
In Limerick, the count will take place at Woodlands House Hotel & Spa, with first preference ballots sorted locally before being sent to the Presidential Returning Officer, Mr. Barry Ryan, in Dublin Castle.
Once all first counts are received and verified, a national quota for election will be set.
Live updates throughout the count will be posted on the official election website.
