TFI Local Link has launched their new bus service, TFI Anseo.

Unlike traditional buses, TFI Anseo does not have a fixed route. Instead, passengers select their pick-up and drop-off location within the areas service.

The TFI Anseo service in Limerick covers the north-east areas of Corbally, Mill Road and Rhebogue, and offers travelling options to and from the city centre and the University of Limerick.

Passengers booking to or from the University of Limerick must select one of the four pickup/drop off points available.

The service is available daily from 7am to 7pm, with the exception of Christmas Day.

The demand-operated bus offers flat fares in Limerick city; €0.80 for a Child fare (9-18 years-old), €1.00 for Young Adults or Student Leap Cards, or €2.00 for a full Adult fare. Children under nine travel free, and Free Travel Passes are also accepted.

This is a one-year pilot programme, which has been designed to make local travel more convenient and accessible, allows up to five passengers per journey.

To access the service, passengers must download the new Anseo app, which can be used to book their journeys, as well as pay for them.

This demand-operated bus is also available on Achill Island and the Curraun Peninsula, and in the Killarney Town area, although operating hours and fairs vary upon location.
