Two men arrested following Limerick shooting incident

Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, have been arrested following a violent incident that occurred in Kilcoole in August.  The incident, which occurred shortly after 6.30pm on August 21, left one man in his 40s with injuries that were treated in University Hospital Limerick.  

The two men, who were arrested on Wednesday morning, are currently being held in Garda custody under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939/89, as amended.  

During previous investigations into incident, Gardaí arrested three males aged in their teens, 20s and 40s.  

Gardaí have stated that investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
