Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell has named his squad for the upcoming Gallagher Cup and Quilter Nations Series this autumn. The 34-man squad involves just four players from Munster.
In the forwards, Munster captain, Tadhg Beirne and Thomas Ahern are included. Craig Casey and Jack Crowley feature for the backs. Munster winger Calvin Nash was not considered for the squad due to injury, while Gavin Coombes has also been excluded.
The Ireland squad will meet at the IRFU High Performance Centre on Monday, 20 October, before then travelling to Chicago on Tuesday, 21 October.
Ireland’s first match is against New Zealand in Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday evening, 1 November at 8:10.
The Munster duo of Edwin Edogbo and Brian Gleeson, who are both uncapped for Ireland, will also travel with the squad to Chicago as cover.
