LIMERICK’S senior hurling management team has confirmed its backroom staff for the 2027 inter-county season, with several familiar faces set to return alongside manager John Kiely.
The backroom team was confirmed by Kiely on October 5, with Caroline Currid and Paul Kinnerk among those returning to the setup.
Currid returns to the Limerick inter-county setup after previously working with the team between 2018 and 2023. The sports psychologist first joined Limerick as a performance coach and returned to the setup in 2026.
Currid has also worked with the Tipperary senior hurling team, Dublin senior football team and Tyrone senior football team. She has established herself as one of the most experienced members of GAA backroom teams, with seven All-Ireland medals across two sports.
Kinnerk is another returning member of Kiely’s backroom team, having first joined the Limerick setup in 2017.
The coach has been part of a successful period for Limerick hurling, collecting numerous honours during his time with the county. He will continue in his role as Limerick prepares for the 2027 season.
The coaching staff and selectors will also include familiar faces, with Liam Cronin, John Flavin, Donal O’Grady and Alan Cunningham all returning.
The quartet were part of last year’s All-Ireland-winning setup and will continue to work alongside Kiely as Limerick begin their preparations for another season at inter-county level.
