Treaty United have announced that left-back Ben Lynch has re-signed ahead of the 2026 season.

Lynch made his Treaty debut in February in a Munster Senior Cup tie against Waterford FC and scored his first goal for the club just over a month later in a 5-0 win over Athlone Town.

He went on to make a total of 38 appearances in 2025, playing a pivotal role as the club reached the First Division Playoff Final for the first time.

“Ben has been a really good addition for us with almost 40 appearances in 2025, and we think he can kick on next year and become a leader in the group,” Treaty manager Tommy Barrett said in an official statement.

“He has a lot of good attributes and is one of the better full-backs in the First Division. We hope to see him improve even further next season.”

“It’s great to re-sign with Treaty,” Lynch added. “We had an amazing run last year that hopefully we can build on in 2026.”

“I can’t wait to get back in with Treaty with Tommy and the lads and get playing in front of the fans again!”

The move was well received by fans on social media, with one fan on ‘X’ saying: “One Lynch down, two to go!”

“Glad to have Ben back, was one of our most consistent players all season.”

Another commented: “Good start. Some first season from Ben last year.

“Consistent all year. Hopefully better again next year”.

Despite a number of Treaty United players on the PFAI transfer list, more re-signings are expected by the club in the days ahead.
