Treaty United have announced the signing of Carlow native, Ciara Kelly. Kelly, who was a member of the Waterford U19 squad that won the EA Sports League of Ireland WU19 Shield last October, shared with TreatyUnitedFC.com that she was delighted with the move to a new club. “I am delighted to be joining Treaty United and I am really looking forward to the season ahead.
The goalkeeper joined Waterford FC Academy at the U17 level back in 2022, moving from St. Patrick’s AFC. Kelly enjoyed a stint in Shamrock Rovers academy in 2023 before returning to Waterford in 2024 to play at U19 level.
There is just over a month until the sides opening league match, where they will travel to Shelbourne on 14 March. They will hope to improve on a 2025 season which saw their most ever wins and fewest defeats.
