The Collingwood Cup will run from February 16-18 on the UL Sports Campus.

University of Limerick’s journey to winning a second Collingwood Cup, after their maiden win in 2024, will kick off with a quarter-final berth against UCD, who have won the competition a record 49 times.

The competition will run through the Maguire’s Pitches in UL as they become the hosts of the 110th edition sponsored by Campion Insurances. The draw took place in the Castletroy Park hotel last week, which produced some eye-catching ties.

The cup holders, Maynooth University, who won the title in 2025 with a 1-0 victory over NUIG in The Mardyke, will begin their defence of the cup against Dublin City University. Trinity College Dublin, who have not won the tournament since 1979, will take on Queen’s University Belfast.

Queen’s have won the tournament the second most amount of times with 23 cup wins, however, they have not won one in 41 years. University College Cork will face the University of Galway in the last quarter-final. UCC have won 14 Collingwood’s, with nine of them coming since 2000. For NUIG, they are six-time champions but have yet to win one since the turn of the millennium.

The Collingwood Cup sponsored by Campion Insurances, will take place in the University of Limerick from the 16-18 February.
