With just one week to go, pubs and nightclubs across Limerick are preparing for one of the busiest days of the year.
College Christmas Day is a long-awaited event for students in Limerick city. Celebrations for the University of Limerick will take place on Wednesday, November 13.
Every year, students take to the streets of Limerick City, fully dressed in their festive attire, from Christmas jumpers to hats to tinsel scarves and more!
With one week left until one of Limerick’s busiest nights, pubs and nightclubs across the city are gearing up for the celebrations. Here’s what you can expect this year:
UL Stables Club will be serving ‘College Christmas Soakage’ from 10:30 am, offering students a Full Fry Hot Breakfast with a pint for €13.95.
From 11:30, Stables Club will serve a Christmas Dinner plus a pint for €16.50. The meal includes the traditional foods one can expect from a Christmas meal.
D’iCON & Smyths, located on Denmark Street will open their doors at 11 am and will give performances from Live DJs and Live Bands. Prizes are to be won, including ‘Ugliest Christmas Jumper.’
House & Amber on Howley’s Quay, is hosting a ticketed event, providing eventgoers with 2 DJs and live acts and encouraging students to pull a Christmas cracker. Doors open from 2:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite.
Black Rabbit will open its doors at 10 am. They are hosting a €300 cash prize giveaway on their Instagram.
Other venues such as Red Hen, Angel Lane, Charlie Chaplin’s, and many more will open their doors for the festive occasion as well.
With festivities spanning across Limerick, Student Christmas Day promises a packed schedule. Remember to plan ahead for entry and make the most of this special day, while drinking responsibly.
