Limerick College ChristmasBusinesses in Limerick are getting in the festive spirit for their busiest night of the year

With 2025’s college Christmas just around the corner, students all across Limerick are gearing up to celebrate the big day. A highly anticipated event, students dressed in their Christmas attire hit the town early to enjoy a day of drinking and festivities. Guaranteed to be one of the busiest days of the semester, the city is sure to be buzzing with students all day. 

Celebrations are taking place this year on Wednesday the 12th of November, and bars and nightclubs all over the city are preparing to welcome the crowds for the celebrations. 

Here’s what’s going on this year: 

The festivities will begin the day before, on college Christmas Eve, at UL Stables Club. They will be offering “Christmas Dinner and Pint” for €16.95 from 4pm. They will be serving a selection of hot drinks all night, and spot prizes will be available for “best boogie”. This event is in association with UL Music Society DJs, who will be providing music from 6.30pm until late.  

For all the students looking to stick to tradition, the Moose Bar will be opening its doors at 7.30 am. 

The Black Rabbit, one of Limerick’s most popular venues for college Christmas, has announced they will open at 10 am and advised that people get there early. 

Angel Lane have also announced they will be joining in on the celebrations, and students can expect drink deals, live DJ’s and giveaways on the night. 

Smyths and D’icon will join in the fun at 11 am, promising live music, DJ’s all day, massive drink deals and giveaways.  

Located on Howley’s Quay, House and Amber will open their doors at 2.30pm. They will be offering special drink promos and will have live acts and 2 DJ’s on the night. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. 

Streets will also be busy around Dolan’s Warehouse later on in the evening, as they host Reboot Presents: DJ 2QWIK2GRUV, kicking off at 10.30 pm. 

The Red Hen, Molly’s, Squire’s bar, The Old Stand, The Monk, and plenty more will also be welcoming in students for the festive occasion.
