Scarlett Faulkner’s brother, a man in his 30s from Longpavement Halting Site in Co Limerick, has died two days after her funeral.
Jason Faulkner was a pallbearer at his sister’s funeral last Friday at St. Munchin’s Church in Limerick city.
Friends and family of Jason have paid tribute to him on social media.
Scarlett Faulkner passed away last Monday at Cork University Hospital. The Limerick mother had suffered an alleged attack on March 21, when she was assaulted on the R494 near Birdhill, Co Tipperary.
She was first airlifted to University Hospital Limerick, and later transported to the specialist head trauma unit in CUH.
In early April her family announced they were preparing for life support to be switched off.
Following the attack, a 16-year-old girl is before the courts charged with assault causing serious harm and a 40-year-old woman is charged with endangerment and violent disorder.
Both women have not yet been identified.
