Limerick mother Scarlett Faulkner passed away today Monday, 13 April, surrounded by members of her family after she was taken off life support at Cork University Hospital on Sunday.
Ms. Faulkner’s death comes three weeks after she was allegedly struck with an iron bar at the side of the R494 road in Birdhill on Saturday, 21 March.
A video posted on social media by Joanne Duffy partner of Scarlett’s brother, Thomas Faulkner, said that Scarlett “passed away so peacefully with her loving family around her”.
Scarlett’s siblings shared the tragic news on social media paying tribute to her.
Her brother, Martin Anthony Faulkner, shared a post saying “RIP my lovely sister Scarlett.”
Joanne Duffy thanked people for their prayers and support for Scarlett.
Gardaí have confirmed that investigations into Scarlett’s death are ongoing and a post-mortem examination will take place.
